Cardigan, blouse, belt, skirt, purse and booties-Thrifted; Socks-Ardene; Lipstick-NYC in Mahogany
I love wearing girly pieces, like this lace blouse and polka dot pleated skirt, with edgier pieces, like these leather booties. I can never decide whether I want to be a badass or a girly girl. I've been inspired by dark lip colour, lately. I love the look of dark purple and black lipstick, but I'm just much too pale to pull it off, so I opted for a purply-dark red colour, instead. I think it's a happy medium!

Agreed, I always want to add some badass pieces to my sweet girly style. I love florals and lace and bright colors but I also love punk, goth and leather like styles. I love your boots and your blouse! I'm also lusting after some black lipstick actually, maybe not to wear as a color but to mix with my purples and reds to create darker colors!

ReplyDeleteI've been trying to find dark purple lipstick everywhere! But, like you said, my coloring probably makes it hard for me to pull off. This looks like a great alternative color, though! Super cute. :]

And I am such a sucker for knee highs and a cute skirt, Im jealous yet again of how you can wear these adorable outfits in winter, I'd be ducking and running back into the house cause I'd be freezing in less than 2 seconds. ReplyDeleteAwesome outfit! I don't think that nowadays you have to choose between being girly and edgy. Everyone mixes both into their looks and this look totally translates to edgy with some dark lipstick as you've done and the leather boots!
